Together, we can do anything

Nearly all of the hundreds of volunteers that come to KeelWorks each year come to establish a basis for employment. They leave when they get a job, and this is expected - we exist to help people get to gainful employment. The incumbent in this position will be able to add this experience to their resume as a job. KeelWorks will support them with resume guidance and a job reference.

The person accepting this position assists in processing and onboarding of volunteers.

  • Track new volunteers.
  • Schedule initial meetings.
  • Ensure that agreements are sent after initial meetings
  • Setup a KeelWorks account for each
  • Grant new volunteers access to systems
  • Schedule onboarding sessions
  • Run onboarding sessions
  • Assign volunteers to teams

About KeelWorks Foundation

Location:

2398 WEST BEACH RD, OAK HARBOR, WA 98277, US

Mission Statement

To support a better world with better citizens by fostering learning competence, emotional intelligence, and networked intelligence. KeelWorks especially wishes to bring greater participation to the economically disadvantaged across the globe. We are building a system to support upward mobility.

Description

We are a charitable non-profit virtual foundation. Founded in 2009, we've worked with over 300 graduate students and past students helping them bridge the gap from education to gainful employment while helping KeelWorks build a structure for people needing change. Our goal is to be the equalizer, bringing those on the outside looking in to the inside. Our goal is to end poverty across the world, changing one life at a time. Our special approach involves grouping people for mutual support, teaching core competencies, and supporting goals with objective progress metrics and team accountability, We hope to build a structure for change that can be replicated hundreds and thousands of times. We don't give participants fish, but hope to teach them to fish for themselves.
