NAAM Holiday Volunteer Opportunity

Our vision is a Pacific Northwest where the important histories, arts and cultures of people of African descent are embraced as an essential part of our shared heritage and future.

Our mission is to spread knowledge, understanding and enjoyment of the histories, arts and cultures of people of African descent for the enrichment of all. We accomplish our mission by working with others to:

*present and preserve the connections between the Pacific Northwest and people of African descent; and to
*investigate and celebrate Black experiences in America through exhibitions, programs and events.

One way to support the Museum's Vision and Mission is to serve as a Museum Volunteer. We invite you to join us! We have various volunteer positions available, including docents, collections assistants, customer service volunteers, and interns.

January 2019 Volunteer Open House is an introduction to NAAM staff and how volunteers impact their work.

We will also discuss general volunteer goals for 2019 and how volunteering at NAAM can fit into your new year’s goal!

Each Open House has a tour of the Journey Gallery and an opportunity to schedule individual interviews, orientations and training.
