We always need assistance with our events! If you would like to help with events, please fill out an online volunteer application:

We have several monthly events and adoption events and several large fundraising events per year. We always need help setting up our booth/table, breaking everything down and in between: selling our T-shirts & merchandise, crowd control when we have adoptable dogs/cats, and running our kids games/spin-the-wheel trivia game and more!

Humane Society for Boone County Indiana
The Humane Society for Boone County is a private not-for-profit 501 (c) (3) organization almost entirely volunteer operated and dedicated to the task of animal welfare, rescue and education in Boone County, Indiana. The shelter operates through a network of generous donors, volunteers and foster families.
HSforBC has no powers to act as animal control, but will work in conjunction with law enforcement as requested.
Found/stray animals are advertised and held for a minimum of 7 days. Animals that are not claimed will be brought up-to-date with vaccinations, microchipped, altered and become available for adoption.
