Every girl, from our youngest to our oldest, has the ability to lead. As a Troop Leader you will be providing our girls the safe environment they need to pursue whatever interests, causes, and leadership roles are most important to them. With your support, girls will stand up, stand out, and stand tall.
Girl Scouts of the Commonwealth of VA’s volunteer opportunities are tailored to fit your calendar and your interests. Whether you want to work with five-year-olds or high school seniors, we will provide you with all of the training and support you will need to be successful in your role as a Troop Leader.

The mission of Girl Scouts is to build girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place. This would be impossible without our volunteers: adults who give their time, energy, and passion to provide opportunities and leadership skills that enable girls to learn and grow. As a volunteer, you'll introduce girls to new experiences that show them they're capable of more than they ever imagined. You'll be their cheerleader, guide, and mentor, helping them develop skills and confidence that will last long after the meeting is over.
