We are looking for volunteers to hang out with our dogs on the weekends and now is the perfect time of the year to do it! The weather is perfect outside!!!
Many of our dogs are in foster care but the ones that are not in foster are in boarding. We have volunteers that take them for walks during the week but we also need volunteers that will take a dog out for a couple of hours on a Saturday or Sunday. Sometimes we have special events that we need the dogs to attend so they can get adoption exposure. The times we don't have special events, the dogs need to get out for some one on one time. You can take them for a hike, a pool party, a walk around the park or just to hang out at your home for a couple of hours.
The shifts are on Saturday or Sunday. We have shifts in the morning or in the afternoon. Typically the shifts are about 2-3 hours long.
Ideally we would like volunteers to volulnteer once or twice a month but if you can only volunteer once a month, we are happy to have you!

Mission Statement
Our vision is to elevate the status of animals in society through facilitating a culture change in how people acquire animals and how they commit to those animals they choose to make a part of their family.
Description
RESCUE is a registered non-profit volunteer based animal rescue organization located in Maricopa County. RESCUE has no central facility and is volunteer run. Our focus is euthanasia list rescue from our county shelters. We were founded in 1995, and with the support of our volunteers and our community, we have found homes for over 11,000 dogs and cats. Our motto is for every animal adopted, we are back to rescue another. Maricopa County has one of the highest euthanasia rates per capital in the country, so we have much work to do on behalf of these animals. We depend on the community for our support and offer a variety of satisfying ways for you to get involved in our mission to end euthanasia. For example, you can become volunteer, adopt or donate.
