As volunteer within our Resale Shop, you can help us create a great shopping experience by:
- Sales
- Sorting through donations
- Putting clothes on hangers and on the racks
- Placing our donations on the sales floor
- Rearranging current displays to create visual appeal
- Organizing - the back room, the displays, the clothing racks
- Creating displays & vignettes
- Assisting with customers
Volunteers needed during open store hours; Shifts and times are flexible with your schedule
Store hours; Monday - Saturday 10:00 - 5:00.
Since opening in 1995, our goal has been to offer our customers a special and fun shopping experience, where 100% of the proceeds go directly to help homeless dogs and cats.

Mission Statement
To care for stray & abandoned animals in northern NJ while finding permanent loving homes for them. Raise money and awareness through our resale shop to establish a cageless no-kill adoption center for strays. Promote responsible pet guardianship through our educational programs.
Description
Since our founding in 1995 by Lynn Cancro, Caring About The Strays (C.A.T.S.), Inc. has worked to find "forever homes" for abandoned, unwanted, neglected, or abused companion animals. All the animals in our care are in foster homes, which helps socialize the cat or dog and allows us to identify the best type of home for each animal to ensure a successful adoption. We also work to reduce the overpopulation of feral cats with our Trap-Neuter-Release program. In addition, our team also strives to educate the public about the importance of spaying or neutering their pets to decrease the number of unwanted pets.
