THE UPCOMING SCHOOL YEAR IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER, AND WE ARE LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS TO HELP STUDENTS DEVELOP THEIR READING SKILLS. IT'S BEEN SAID THAT CHILDREN SPEND GRADES 1 - 3 LEARNING TO READ AND GRADES 4 ON UP READING TO LEARN. STUDENTS THAT ARE NOT PROFICIENT READERS IN THE 4TH GRADE ARE AT RISK OF FALLING BEHIND AND SELDOM CATCHING UP WITH THEIR PEERS.

To assist Seniors, age 55+, and other community members, in finding meaningful volunteer opportunites throughout Rapid City, Box Elder, New Underwood, Wall, Hill City, Keystone, and Hot Springs communities.
Description
RSVP+ of Rapid City, SD has over 500 registered senior volunteers sharing their talents and skills at over 75 area service and non-profit organizations. RSVP of Rapid City contributes more than 10,000 hours of community service each month.
