Description
Interested in assisting with patient care? Considering working in the medical field and want to get an idea of what it would be like? You might be interested in becoming a Queen's Medical Center Nursing Unit Volunteer.
Nursing Unit Volunteers assist in a variety of task such as answering patient call lights and relaying requests to nurses, assisting with patient transportation via wheelchair and restocking the unit along with many more tasks.
General Information:
All Queen's Medical Center Volunteers require a two-step TB clearance, attend Orientation from the Volunteer Office and purchase and wear the volunteers' uniform.
In addition to the Volunteer Office orientation and training, the volunteer will receive orientation to the nursing unit. This positions hour are determined by the nursing unit requesting assistance.
Skills
Volunteers are required to posses the following skills: proficiency in English both written and verbal, superior customer service, establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and staff and, have a desire to please.
