The Mother Baby Care Center Volunteer is a member of our Guest Services team. This volunteer role provides a wide range of services that is supportive to nursing staff as well as to inpatient moms and newborns. Tasks include greeting and escorting visitors, assisting with patient discharges, and assisting staff with routine errands and non-medical tasks such as running lab and supply errands, chart packet assembly and being on-hand to take care of minor patient needs.
Guest Services volunteers in the Mother Baby Care Center setting must be emotionally mature, positive, friendly, and willing to take direction. Bilingual ability is desirable.
Volunteers work a weekly 4-hour shift. Shifts are offered on all seven days of the week at the following times: 7am-11am; 11am-3pm, & 3pm-7pm. The exact shifts available during this intake are yet to be determined.
This placement requires a minimum commitment of 6 months and 50 hours.
Training for this position requires general orientation plus on-the-job training.

Enloe Medical Center is a 298-bed nonprofit hospital with the mission of improving the quality of your life through patient-centered care. It is one of two Level II trauma centers north of Sacramento, houses the region’s only Level II neonatal intensive care unit and operates the FlightCare air ambulance service.
