Tutor an adult one-to-one in speaking, reading and writing English as a second language. Your reward will be the friendship and gratitude of your student, and the knowledge that you have helped someone in very important ways. Using the Literacy Volunteers Curriculum, you will help your learner with the basics of the English language. Help them to achieve their own personal goals, which may be to pass the GED test, get a better job, or help their children with school work. Sessions will be scheduled at a time and place that is convenient for both you and your learner. Most pairs meet once a week for one hour.
