Animal Outreach does not have a shelter, we are 100% foster home based (we are also looking for foster homes). An Adoption Counselors job would be to show the kitty to possible adopters. Then if they decide to adopt, they fill out an application and you would approve or disapprove it. You would also talk to people about all sorts of kitty topics (what could be more fun than that!) about AOHS and events and stuff coming up. That part is no biggie, you'll learn that from working with someone. We always work in at least pairs.
We currently hold adoptions at:
- Petsmart in Algonquin, weekends 11:00-2:00
- Petsmart in McHenry, weekends 11:00 - 2:00
Please concider helping the animals by doing adoptions once a week or twice a month!

Animal Outreach Humane Society is a foster home organization that assist the community with stray animals and provides assistance to our local animal control faciltiy, provides state approved humane education programs to our schools and assist the community with feral cats.
