- Act as a mentor to a child in a "one-to-one" relationship, either in our traditional Community-Based mentoring program or our School-Based mentoring program.
- The minimum requirement is one hour per week for one year; however the volunteer may elect to spend more time with the child if they are in the community-Based program.
- Mentors are encouraged to attend monthly group events with their "Littles."
- Children can enroll in our mentoring programs if they are from 6 to l3 years of age and can continue in the program until age l8 or graduation from high school.
- If volunteer is interested, a Match Specialist will explain the program in detail before any commitment on the part of the volunteer.
- Mentors may take advantage of discounts offered to matches by area businesses.

Our volunteer program helps assist the Mission of the United Way Manitowoc County improve the quality of life in our community through volunteer and resource development, partnership building, and advocacy. We recruit volunteers to help deliver essential services at numerous non profit agencies throughout Manitowoc County. We assist individuals, families, and groups of all ages find volunteer opportunities that are personally rewarding and help improve the community.
