Volunteers with Strong Backs Needed for the UC Botanical Garden's Fall Plant Sale
Sunday, September 27, 2009 from 8:30 am-12:00 pm , 11:45 am-3:30 pm and/or 3:30-5:00 pm
Jobs include helping customers put plants into the hold areas, writing up tags for purchase at cashiers' station, moving/loading plants for customers, returning plants to stock after the sale, and striking equipment and clean-up.
There is a half-hour training to be held on Tuesday, September 22 at 11:30 am OR 3:30 pm at the Garden. (Not required, but strongly recommended.)
You must be able to lift approx. 20 lbs and be willing to work cooperatively with others in a fun, but often hectic environment!

Description
The University of California Botanical Garden is a living museum open to the public featuring one of the most diverse plant collections in the United States. Established in 1890, the Garden's 34 acres contain over 12,000 different kinds of plants from all over the world arranged by region.
