The Reading Buddy program matches volunteers with young students in Grades 1--5. The program is designed to help students improve their reading skills and to learn to love reading.
The goal is to help develop positive attitudes about reading and to promote reading as a fun activity. Buddies (volunteer and student) meet one hour once a week to share books, games or other activities that encourges reading. Reading Buddies begins September - December 2011 and again January - May 2012 (Monday - Thursday 3:30 p.m.- 7:30 p.m.) at the Cepeda Branch Library located at 751 N. Pleasant Valley Rd.
