An ideal foster parent is an adult, a couple, or a family. Generally, foster cats/kittens live with their foster family until they are adopted. All Cat Network cats/kittens are to be kept indoors at all times. (unless being transported to the vet or an adoption event, in an approved carrier)
All required vet care for the foster cats/kittens is paid by The Cat Network. The Cat Network occasionally receives donated cat food and litter, which is made available to foster parents.
As an all-cat rescue group, we receive dozens of emails & requests to help out with cat & kitten placements that we simply cannot meet because of a lack of foster homes.
Please consider being a foster home -- even for a single cat or maybe 2 sets of cats -- you don't have to make a committment to have foster cats continuously in your home!

Mission Statement
The Cat Network is an all volunteer, no-kill, cat rescue organization in the greater St. Louis area. We are a non-profit, 501-c-3 organization. We do not have a shelter, so we care for our foster cats in our homes. We are currently caring for over 100 permanent foster cats. We accept (rescue) cats or kittens who we can hopefully re-home. Generally we prefer to rescue cats/kittens from local animal control shelters, but will occasionally accept owner turn-ins.
Description
After rescue, our cats/kittens are quarantined for at least 14 days to assure that they are disease free. This also gives us time to provide the necessary vet care. All newly rescued cats/kittens are taken to one of our affiliated vet offices for a complete check-up. They will be given age-appropriate vaccinations, a microchip, and will be combo tested for feline leukemia/feline aids. If old enough, the cat/kitten will be altered. Our cats/kittens are also treated for intestinal and external parasites.
All of our cats/kittens live in caring foster homes. Our 'adoptable' foster cats/kittens participate in regularly scheduled adoption events at local PetSmart and Petco stores.
