This is a special opportunity for someone who has a caring heart and the time to share it with a patient or family when the patient is imminent and is living his/her last days or minutes of life. Individuals would be asked to commit to at least a two-hour vigil. Training is given over and above the basic Direct Patient Volunteer training. The assignment would take place in an individual's home or nursing home setting.
