This is a great opportunity for adults 55 to become part of a non-profit visual arts educational museum that serves the Jacksonville community through exhibitions, collections and educational programs with particular emphasis on works created from 1960 to the present.
Many fun and exciting assignments are available:
- School Tour Preparation every Monday from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm (3 hour shifts) to prepare materials for art teachers to do projects during the tour.
- ArtExporium (loft) every Wednesday from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm & every Saturday from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm to help children with activities.
- ArtFusion every Sunday 12:00 pm - 4:00 p.m. to help with preplanned art project with children and families.
- Community Sculpture, every Sunday, 12:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. to help visitors work on a community sculpture with premade materials.
- Artwalk: Greeters needed on 1st Wednesday from 4:45 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm.
- Greeters: Every Wednesday from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm.
Wheelchair volunteers are welcomed.

Mission Statement
Develop a variety of volunteer opportunities for community services for people, aged 55 and better, willing to share their experience, abilities, and skills for the betterment of their community and themselves.
Description
The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program is funded in part by a federal program entitled The Corporation for National and Community Service and the City of Jacksonville.
The dual purpose is to engage seniors 55 and better in volunteer service that meets critical community neeeds; and to provide a high quality volunteer experience that will enrich their lives.
