CASA of Passaic County

Description

Passaic County CASA is part of the nation wide CASA network that is dedicated to recruiting, training, and supervising volunteers to advocate for children who have been placed in the foster care system. Our volunteers speak on behalf of the best interest of children and try to ensure that they receive all necessary services while they are in the system. It is our goal to have every child placed in a safe, permanent home as quickly as possible.

Being a CASA volunteer can be a very rewarding experience, knowing that you have helped make a difference in the life of an abused or neglected child. I hope you will find your personal interests and talents are a good match with the needs of the CASA organization. With training, you can join the CASA volunteers working to provide each child with a safe, loving, permanent home.

CASA volunteers go through a 30 hour training program. Training programs take place 4 times per year and are offered in a variety of time structures. The first step to becoming a CASA volunteeer is to attend an information meeting or call for an application packet.
