Guatemala City is an ideal place for CCS volunteers because of its diverse population and many cultural learning opportunities. It is the economic, governmental, and cultural capital of the nation, as well as a hub for travel to other popular destinations. CCS volunteers in Guatemala City support local schools and daycare centers, homes for the elderly, health organizations, and other community initiatives.

In addition to Guatemala, Cross-Cultural Solutions offers volunteer programs in Brazil, China, Costa Rica, Ghana, India, Morocco, Peru, Russia, South Africa, Tanzania, and Thailand. Start dates are year-round and programs run from 1-12 weeks long. In Guatemala, CCS offers additional volunteer opportunities in the city of Quetzaltenango.

Volunteers in Guatemala City are involved with caring for infants and children, teaching children, caring for the elderly, observing and assisting local health professionals, caring for people with disabilities, sharing their professional skills and experiences, and work towards women's empowerment.
