One of the most difficult and emotional events a person can experience is learning that she or a loved one has a life-limiting illness. At VistaCare, we believe that no person should face this situation alone. Our company and volunteers are devoted to helping patients and families throughout this entire experience.
Volunteer services are an important part of our hospice program, providing support in many areas:
Companionship/Caregiver relief
Errands and other services
Administrative work in the hospice office

Description
Hospice is a comprehensive program of medical care designed to address the physical , emotional and spiritual needs of patients with life-limiting illnesses and to provide support services for their family members. This care is provided by skilled, compassionate health care professionals and trained volunteers in the comfort of patient's homes, as well as nursing homes and special in-patient facilities. One of the primary objectives of hospice care is to help patients and family members be as comfortable as possible so they can truly live all the days of their lives.
