Our Evening Volunteers help staff with dinner preperations, interact with teens and assist where needed, evening hours are 6:30-10:30pm. This is a great opportunity for anyone with a few extra hours in the evening that would like to make an impact on the lives of our youth. Our Overnight Volunteers spend the night in our shelter, and provide the "extra body" in case something happens that our Overnight Staff cannot handle on their own. This is not a stay awake position. Volunteers are provided with their own seperate bedroom, and are only expected to sleep at the shelter. In the mornings the Overnight Volunteer helps by making breakfast and assuring that our clients are ready for the day, overnight hours are 10:30pm-7:30am. This is a great opportunity for those who do not have a lot of day time hours, but still want to be an integral part of their community!

• At least 21 years of age (unless enrolled in an accredited internship or service learning program) • High school diploma or GED • One year experience working with at-risk or homeless youth • Criminal Background Inquiry (within 2 wks. of start)if less than 3 years residence in Washington State fingerprints required • TB screening (within 6 wks. of start) • First Aid and CPR certification (within 6 wks. of start) • HIV/AIDS education and training (within 6 wks. of start) • Food Handler's Permit (within 6 wks. of start) • New Volunteer Orientation (within 6 wks. of start) • De-escalation Training (within 6 wks. of start)
