Description
A Cross-Cultural Solutions volunteer program will take you on a journey to another country - where you will work side-by-side with local people, immerse yourself in another culture, and live in a community that warmly welcomes you.
Our unique programs will give you the opportunity to exchange ideas with people of another culture and interact on a global level. Most importantly, it will open the door to new relationships with people who will change your life - as much as you change theirs.
Skills
Volunteer work in Ayacucho is centered around caring for infants and children, teaching children, teaching English, assisting teachers, working towards women's empowerment, caring for the elderly, observing and assisting local health professionals, and assisting teachers of special education.
Your volunteer work is based on your personal skills and interests and matched with the needs identified by the community. Start dates are year-round and programs run from 2-12 weeks long.
