Hundreds of individuals have supported Comfort Zone Camp through the donation of time and energy for our camp sessions. For each of our camp sessions we need at least one medical professional (RN, LPN, NP, EMT, or PA) to be onsite at all times, administering any medications children bring with them, and providing first aid. Typically the medical support needs at our camps are minimal, but we need to provide coverage to help ensure the safety and health of our campers and volunteers! Please consider volunteering your skills and talents to help grieving children find a fun and safe place to heal. Please contact Jessi Schmale at jschmale@comfortzonecamp.org or by telephone at (804)377-3430.

Comfort zone provides grieving children with a voice, a place and a community in which to heal, grow and lead more fulfilling lives.
Description
Comfort Zone Camp is the nation's largest bereavement camp. Comfort Zone Camps are offered free of charge to children ages 7-17 who have experienced the death of a parent, sibling or primary caregiver. The weekend camps are held year-round in Virginia, New Jersey, California, North Carolina and Massachusetts as well as partnership camps in several other states.
Comfort Zone Camps create an environment where grieving children can have fun and break the isolation death often brings, while learning valuable coping skills for their daily lives. All camp programs are free of charge.
