Volunteer tutors are needed to meet weekly one-on-one with a child who needs help in reading and math. Assigned tutors are matched with a child for a 90 minute, weekly session. Tutors are trained and supported by a professional staff. No teaching experience is necessary.
Two Together has two sites in two boroughs:

Description
Two Together, founded in 1971, is a citywide program providing free individualized tutoring to over 100 schoolchildren, ages 8-18, annually. Children who score below grade level in reading and math are eligible for the program. They represent a wide variety of nationalities and ethnic backgrounds and are referred by schools, parents, synagogues, churches, community agencies and word of mouth.
Volunteers from the community meet weekly one-on-one with a child who needs help. They are trained and supported by a professional staff. No teaching experience is necessary.
