Volunteers are matched with a student and work with them once a week at the library to establish rapport and build on academic skills. The Quest Learning Center at the East Palo Alto Library has been providing a supportive environment that encourages academic and social growth since 1999.
Duties include:
- Assist student with homework in a specific academic subject
- Help student determine and achieve their academic goals
- Serve as a positive role model
Program Hours:
The East Palo Alto Library is open year-round. Hours of operation are Mondays-Thursdays from 10 am - 8 pm, Fridays from 10 am - 6 pm, Saturdays from 9 am - 5 pm, and Sundays from 1 pm - 5 pm. During the school year, students can usually meet at the library as early as 4:00 pm. During the summer, student schedules tend to be more flexible.
