ORGANIZATION: CASA CHIRILAGUA

  • 16 people are interested

When: Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 3-5PM;

Commitment: 2 hours; one day a week; 1 or 2 semesters (Please only inquire if you're able to commit to 75% or more attendance)
Location: Casa Chirilagua Community Center 4109 Mount Vernon Ave Alexandria VA 22305

Responsibilities: Support academic, social-emotional, and character growth in elementary students by providing reading buddies, homework help, engaging in games, team building activities, art projects, and off-site trips.

Additional notes: As most of our volunteer opportunities are with children, we require all volunteers to submit a volunteer application with references, complete a background check, participate in child safety training and program training. All these efforts are to keep our children safe. As a faith-based not-for-profit, we openly offer Christian education at our programs. It is not a requirement to subscribe to a certain faith to volunteer, but we do suggest only those comfortable with open Christian teaching to volunteer.
