Seasons Hospice wants to be able to enhance the quality of life for our patients by offering translators for that patient/family who needs the services of a translator to facilitate a visit by our clinical staff. When a patient is signed on to our service and they speak no English, an interpreter accompanies one of our clinical staff to make sure that the patient and family understand about hospice from the clinical as well as legal perspective. The non-English speakers can make sure that our staff understands their wishes, that their questions are understood by our staff as well. The volunteer translator will be required to go to the patient's home wherever that might be: in their own home, in a nursing facility, assisted living residence, in-patient unit, hospital, etc.
