Searching for caring individuals with a little time on their hands and a lot of love in their hearts to give back to those who once were able to take care of themselves. It truly takes a special someone to volunteer with us and we know that someone could be YOU. There are patients in homes, in nursing homes, and assisted living facilities who would love for someone to stop by and chat, read to them, or take them outside to enjoy the outdoors. We always welcome our veterans or active duty military to visit with our patients who are veterans. Volunteers can perform administrative duties in the office, or offer companionship to our homebound patients. Volunteers get back what they give a thousand-fold. Call or email today!

Description
By volunteering for only a few hours or days a month, you can make a difference in the lives of our patients and their families. Volunteers can choose to work directly with our patients and families, in administrative activities at Kindred offices or in community functions, such as health fairs, memorial services or bereavement assistance meetings.
Our volunteers provide companionship and support for patients by reading to them or writing letters for them. They may run small errands or give caregivers a brief respite by staying with the patient. Others may use their talents or help patients with arts and craft projects.
All volunteers receive special training and are under the direction of a staff member responsible for Kindred's volunteer program.
