ORGANIZATION: New England Equine Rescue - North, Inc

Do you have experience with live event fundraising and a drive to make a difference? New England Equine Rescue North (NEER North) is looking for an Auction Coordinator to join our team! This event is held yearly in November and features a live as well as online component.

NEER North is a volunteer run organization that receives no state or federal funding. We need your help to make this event a success, to support our mission to save dozens of horses and donkeys each year.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with auction team to organize, coordinate, plan and execute the annual "Mane Event" auction and live event
  • Help coordinate volunteer efforts for all aspects of the event, from invitations and thank you's, item pickup and shipping, ticket sales and event venue set up, and more!
  • Establish relationships with local businesses to obtain auction items (goods or services) or financial donations, including event sponsorships
  • Recruit and coordinate volunteers to support the above activities

Qualifications:

  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing fundraising events
  • Creativity and willingness to innovate and try new things
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Friendly and professional demeanor

Mission Statement

NEER North rescues, rehabilitates, and finds approved adoptive homes for equines suffering from abuse, neglect, or at risk for slaughter. NEER North also provides assistance for horses and horse owners in need, along with networking to assist in helping assure horses do not become at risk. NEER North educates the public about responsible horse ownership whenever they can.

Description

NEER North is primarily a volunteer 501c organization dedicated to helping horses and horse owners in need.

NEER North houses up to 15 horses at a time, making sure every horse is evaluated, rehabilitated, and brought up to date on all medical needs before being adopted into appropriate homes.

NEER North relies on donations, fundraising, and public public support to accomplish their goal.

NEER North works primarily in Massachusetts and Southern New Hampshire but will help any horse owner in need however thay can, funding allowing.
