Great opportunity for teachers, college students, professionals, retirees, empty nesters, and parents/grandparents wanting to spend dedcated time with their daughters/granddaughters or other girls to inspire a new generation of girls.As a troop leader you will - Prepare and guide girls in planning,and carrying out group meetings - help girls understand their role in the troop/group and develop their leadership abilities - motivate girls to examine and understand the values expressed in the Girl Scout Promise & Law using the Girl Scout Leadership Program.
Troop Leaders work with girls in groups 5 to 17 (you choose the age level) you wish to work with. You can meet near your home or work (choose the school you would like to work with). Meetings are usually once a week or bi-weekly for about one hour to a hour and a half throughout the year.

Girl Scouting serves over 7,000 members in Miami Dade and Monroe Counties in troops, groups , series, events, travel, camping and virtual pathways. Volunteers are the strength of the organization.
Volunteer involvement is needed to inspire courage, confidence and character in small groups and programs.
Group facilitators and leaders needed for small groups and troops of girls year round.
