Adults 55 plus here is a way to change the world one day at a time. Hubbard House is a comprehensive domestic violence shelter providing safe emergency shelter, counseling, information and referral to victims of domestic violence and their children.
They need assistance in the following areas:
- Women's Services to work emergency hotline, court advocacy, outreach counseling team members and emergency response team assistants.All hours and days are available.
- Children's Services for care givers for therapeutic day care and after-hours family advocacy.
- Men's Services to provide information and referrals to perpetrators of domestic violence.
- Assistants to help in their two thrift stores.
- Administration to assist in clerical duties.

Mission Statement
Develop a variety of volunteer opportunities for community services for people, aged 55 and better, willing to share their experience, abilities, and skills for the betterment of their community and themselves.
Description
The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program is funded in part by a federal program entitled The Corporation for National and Community Service and the City of Jacksonville.
The dual purpose is to engage seniors 55 and better in volunteer service that meets critical community neeeds; and to provide a high quality volunteer experience that will enrich their lives.
