Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Desert

Think about the person in your childhood who shared new experiences and ideas with you. Regardless of who that person was, they introduced some magic into your world and your eyes opened like wildflowers!

Big Brother and Big Sister volunteer mentors do just that --- they turn little bits of magic into big moments in a child's life. Carefully screened Big Brother and Big Sister volunteers are matched with children based on similar interests and hobbies. Volunteer Opportunities

Our community based program offers volunteers the opportunity to meet with their Little Brothers and Little Sisters on their own schedule and participate in activities throughout the community. Volunteers in the program spend an average of eight hours a month with their Little Brother or Little Sister.

Our site-based programs allow the volunteer to meet with their Little Brother or Little Sister at a designated site or school location for one hour a week. The site-based programs are located in Indio, Coachella, La Quinta, Mecca and Cathedral City.
