Our E-Mentoring Program Big Tutor program connects a Little with a Big using the ZOOM virtual platform and the official Big Brothers Big Sisters Smart Phone tool called The App. The E-mentoring program is strictly virtual and in-person activities will not be allowed.

Volunteers must reside in the Coachella Valley portion of Riverside County, CA.

E-Mentoring Program Volunteers

• High School students and Adults
• Be able to make a minimum 6 month commitment (or school term) and spend approximately 4 hours per month with your Little.
• Have the required technology to participate (Laptop or tablet, Smart Phone, and WiFi connection).

Qualifications Community-Based and E-Mentoring Program Volunteers

• Show stability in personal life and work history.
• Demonstrate appropriate social behavior and have appropriate relationships with peers.
• Be amenable to supervision and coaching by the agency’s professional staff while involved in the program.
• Demonstrate a healthy balance of interests and activities.
• Must have 3 positive references.
• Should be a full-time resident of the Coachella Valley. We will accept part-time residents upon recommendation from the Enrollment Specialist.
• Agree to work within the agency’s guidelines and follow agency ground rules.
• Must have no major medical problems which would interfere with your ability to participate fully in the program.
• Social Media background check will be conducted on all applicants using GOOGLE search and assessed. Each social media outlet listed will be reviewed and documented in the assessment of the applicant.
• No illegal drug use within the past 2 years.
