Volunteers ages 50+ work one-on-one or in small groups in public elementary or middle schools to support and increase students' passion for reading. There are several locations in Montgomery County that need this support during the upcoming 2017-2018 school year. Volunteers often form mentor-style relationships with their students, providing dedicated tutoring and encouragement for students are not reading at grade-level.
Commitment is weekly, one-hour program at multiple elementary schools. All materials, training, and on-site supervision provided.
