Description
Make a Difference in Your Community!
The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) provides opportunities for people 55 and over to make a difference in their community through volunteer service. RSVP volunteers contribute anywhere from one to over forty hours a week, serving at non-profit agencies (e,g,Red Cross, Head Start, libraries, senior centers, Habitat for Humanity, day care), health care facilities (e,g, hospitals, convalescent centers, free clinics) and local government departments (e,g, Police, Parks & Recreation, Social Services) RSVP offers maximum flexibility and choice to its volunteers, matching personal interests and skills with opportunities to help solve community problems. We offer supplemental insurance while on duty, limited mileage reimbursement, an informational newsletter, on-the-job training from volunteer stations and other support.
