Make a difference in the lives of children!
Do you enjoy the energy and enthusiasm of a pre-school age child? Would you like to help prepare these children for success when they enter elementary school? Gunnison Head Start provides assistance to preschool age children of low-income families.
Be a positive role model in a child's life and befriend a child. Serve as mentors and tutors helping students with cutting, pasting, befriending a child, indivdiual reading time, and reading stories to children.
Terms: Site is handicapped accessible, Volunteer must be at least 55 years of age, Car Required
Other Information Requested of Volunteers: Training is also provided for volunteers

Mission Statement
The mission of Six County RSVP and the Volunteer Connection is to engage persons 55 and older and those 54 and younger in volunteer service to meet critical needs; and to provide a high quality experience that will enrich the lives of volunteers.
Description
We are needing volunteers to get involved with their community to make our nation more safe and secure. There are many different volunteer opportunities volunteers can get involved with. We are responding to Presdient Bush's call to by making our communities more safe and secure on the home front whether it be having volunteers serve as tutoring a child, helping a neighbord, or serving in emergency prepardeness initiatives.
