The Sacramento and Chico and Chapters are part of a Nationwide organization sponsored by the Small Business Administration that provides counseling, mentoring, education, training to both existing and emerging businesses. We have openings for qualified men and women who are willing to share their time and experience in order to support their local business community. Our membership includes people of diverse backgrounds including business owners, corporate executives and professionals. We welcome those who are retired, semi-retired or still in business. The primary responsibilities are varied and include providing business counseling to emerging and existing business owners to ensure business success, facilitating and participating in business training programs, administrative functions, which include telephone contact with clients scheduling appointments, checking email, etc and cyber counseling.
Terms: Car Required - Must Provide Own Transportation
Benefits: Accident / Liability, Transportation Costs
Other Information Requested of Volunteers: They must be computer literate and willing to participate on commitees in support of chapter efforts

The Sacramento SCORE Chapter is a diverse group of active members providing client mentoring and workshops for the Greater Sacramento Business Community. We provide our support and expertise to help emerging and in-business clients achieve their dream of success. As a Chapter, we serve the counties of Sacramento, Placer, El Dorado, Yolo and San Joaquin, Becoming a member of the Sacramento Chapter is a great opportunity to share your business experience and knowledge to help other succeed. The value for our members is the satisfaction that you have made a contribution to someone's success. It is also a great opportunity to grow professionally through lifelong learning.We are looking for volunteers in the areas of: International Trade, Chapter Administration, fund Raising, Membership/Training, Restaurant operations and management.
The Sacramento SCORE Chapter is a diverse Chapter and devoted to ensuring our membership reflects the makeup of our business community. We actively encourage business women and those in the minority community to join to better serve this growing small business population.
