Services for Seniors!
The North Platte Senior Services Center offers a variety of programs and activities geared towards our senior population.
The North Platte Senior Center is looking for volunteers to help serve lunch M-F from 10:30 a.m. -12:30 p.m.
Volunteers work with staff to provide and serve a daily (M-F) Congregate Meal and Home Delivered Meals (to those who are unable to leave their homes due to medical reasons).
Volunteers coordinate and supervise the Bingo hall, open to the community on Saturday evenings, which provides the Center with on-going funds.
Volunteers serve on the Policy Advisory Committee boards.
Volunteers help with the coordination and carryout of a large variety of activities provided for Seniors in our community.
Volunteers provide musical entertainment for the people participating in the Congregate Meal program.
Volunteers coordinate and assist with all activities, events, classes and groups offered to the senior population at the Center.
Terms: Site is handicapped accessible. Site welcomes volunteers of all ages.

Mission Statement
The North Platte Area Ready to Serve Volunteer Program (RSVP) strives to fulfill two main objectives in North Platte and Lincoln County. To engage volunteers of all ages to serve the community. To address the current and future needs of North Platte and the Lincoln County area.
Description
The goal of the program is to promote the use of volunteers as community resources in coordinating and enhancing service to meet community needs. Achievement of RSVP’s mission is facilitated by the coordinated use of the resources provided by the City of North Platte and the community.
RSVP also strives to:
Provide a multi-dimensional and practical approach to solving community needs.
Realize the full potential of volunteers willing to share their experience, wisdom and skills to meet the significant needs of our community.
Provide opportunities for community and volunteer involvement and support in the development and operation of the RSVP program.
Cooperate with agencies and organizations involved in the field of volunteerism.
Develop a sound, locally coordinated volunteer program with continuing community interest and support.
