RSVP invites adults, 55 years and older, to put their experience and skills to work solving community problems. RSVP of Lane County is a volunteer program sponsored locally by United Wy of Lane County. We bring together non-profit agencies in search of volunteers and individuals wanting to put their know-how and passion to work to make a positive impact in their community. RSVP offers maximum flexibility and choice to its volunteers matching their personal interests and skills with opportunities. Volunteers with RSVP receive volunteer placement, supplemental accident and liability insurance and job training from the agency or organization where placed. Most of all, RSVP volunteers can leave a legacy through volunteer service.
RSVP volunteers engage in diverse activities. You can assume leadership roles with local non-profit and public agencies and programs by providing professional and managerial services. Diverse types of volunteer opportunities that rely on a wide variety of skills and interests include collecting and preparing food, tutoring and teaching, mentoring and companionship to youth and elders.
