Habitat for Humanity for SLO County is looking for volunteers to join our newly formed Auction Committee to drive the success of our annual Blueprints & Blue Jeans Fundraiser! We could use your help getting donations of fabulous, one-of-a-kind items for our auction and helping us plan this great event.
What:
We will begin by brainstorming together about unique and interesting offerings, where to find them and how best to create exciting auction items. We will work on the layout and design of our auction tables, create special baskets, all culminating in auction excitement on April 18, 2020 at the Octagon Barn in San Luis Obispo!
Who:
Anyone with a creative spirit looking to volunteer with the gift of time, talent and tenacity! Volunteers make it possible for Habitat to build homes, communities and hope in SLO County.
Time Commitment:
Volunteer hours will be based upon your availability.
This is the largest fundraiser Habitat hosts. Please consider joining this extremely important committee to help make the evening a huge success! We look forward to hearing from you!

Mission Statement
Habitat for Humanity for San Luis Obispo County strives to bring people together to build homes, communities, and hope.
Description
HFHSLOCO was established in 1997 and is an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International. San Luis Obispo County is one of the least affordable small metropolitan areas in the nation according to the National Association of Home Builders. The County is in a severe affordable housing crisis as low income workers have extreme difficulty finding affordable homes to live in. To address this housing need, HFHSLOCO uses volunteer labor and tax-deductible donations of money, materials, and services to build homes that are affordable to very-low and low-income families, maintaining the existing affordable housing stock, and revitalize communities through its Neighborhood Revitalization efforts.
