  • A group opportunity. Invite your friends.

The COVID pandemic continues to impact the availability of food to low-income families and the houseless on the Santa Barbara South Coast. A Community Group is needed to provide a meal once a month to a group of people experiencing homelessness. This is a great opportunity for a group interested in helping others in an impactful way. We are always looking for groups to bring meals on Wednesdays, 5:30 at Pershing Park. The service usually takes no longer than 30-45 minutes from set up to finish. The group is responsible for bringing a complete nutritious dinner meal to share with 40 people. Assistance from other organizations may be possible if needed. A large collaboration of community organizations and volunteers have been assisting people at this park for over a decade and we are excited to have a new partner join the effort. Please respond with interest to provide a monthly meal. This is a small group opportunity. Thank you for considering this service to others.
