Who We Are: Mercy House is a non-profit organization that provides emergency and transitional services to the homeless in Orange County and Ontario. Our goal is simple; to end the cycle of homelessness for those entering our system of care.

Overview: Residents who are graduating from our transitional program need help moving into their new apartment. Moving can be financially straining and we are looking for individuals and groups who are willing to donate items for our graduating gift baskets.

Responsibilities: Collect common household items and assemble in a laundry basket. These items include:

Dish towels

Bath towels, hand towels, floor mats

Laundry detergent, dish soap, hand soap

Silverware, cooking utensils

Dishes; plates, bowls, glasses

Candles

Picture frames

Blankets, sheets

Toilet paper, paper towels

Shampoo, conditioner

These are examples; every item does not have to be included in the baskets.

Initial Impact: By providing gift baskets, you are helping one of our residents get a head start on their new path in life.

Sustainable outcome: The money they will save on these items will help them become more financially stable.

Training and Support: The Volunteer Staff will be in touch if you have any questions during your collection process.
