Description

Volunteers are the heart of our program. You can make a difference in the life of a child by becoming a Big Brother, Big Sister or Big Couple by spending as little as one hour a week.

Volunteers choose from three different programs to meet their lifestyle.

In the Community Based program, volunteers meet with their "Little" about once a week for one calendar year. Time together is at the convenience of both parties. Activities can be everyday simple things you might be doing already such as making dinner, going for a walk, etc.

In the Site Based program, volunteers meet each week for an academic school year. You can choose to be matched at a local school for a lunch hour or after school time or at the Fox Valley Boys and Girls Club after school. You can use the school and club resources such as playing games, playing outside, working on homework, and much more.

All matches are supported by our professional staff so you are never alone!

Skills

Volunteers come from a variety of background, experiences and ages. They need to be friendly, enjoy youth and want to make a difference.

Volunteers have to be at least 15 years old in our School Based program and at least 16 years old in our Community Based program.
