Do you love cats? Are you interested in gaining hands-on animal shelter experience, cat care, and helping rehabilitate rescued cats? Volunteer for the Cat Lounge right meow! At the lounge, our mission is to rescue cats in line for euthanasia from high kill shelters and provide them with a safe haven where the public can socialize, rehabilitate, and adopt them. Since we are volunteer based, all funds go towards quality care for the cats.
Volunteer tasks include but not limited to:
- Provide daily cat care including:
- refilling feeding bowls
- cleaning cages and enclosures
- preparing litter boxes
- refilling food containers
- Ensure that lounge is clean and safe for guests and cats by:
- sweeping and mopping floors
- wiping down tables and chairs
- vacuuming cat trees and carpets
- wiping down windows
- washing bowls
- spraying couches
- Rehabilitate and socialize with cats in the lounge
Volunteers must be over 18 because of insurance purposes. All volunteers are expected to commit a minimum of 2 days a week after sign-up. For those seeking community service hours, please inform us prior to your first day of volunteering.
General volunteer schedule:
11 am - 12 pm DAILY except Mondays and Wednesdays :)

Description
We are a non-profit cat rescue that just opened up it's doors with our new facility! Our goal is to rescue healthy, adoptable cats from euthanasia and allow the public to look at rescue animals in a different light. We rescue over 25 cats a month and are completely volunteer based!
