Position Summary: The volunteer driver transports cancer patients to and from medical treatment centers.

Responsibilities:

  • Attend an initial training session for new volunteers.

  • Fulfill all requests from the Transportation Coordinator, or as many as possible.

  • Notify the Transportation Coordinator or staff person if an assignment cannot be completed.

  • Pick up patients promptly at the designated time and location.

  • Follow safe driving procedures at all times.

  • Be supportive of the patient's concerns, but DO NOT give medical advice or counseling.

  • Report all required travel information to the Transportation Coordinator.

  • Location available for: ( Eugene, Bend, and Medford)
