What is TIP? The Trauma Intervention Program (TIP) of Southern Nevada, Inc., (referred to as TIP), is a non-profit organization committed to supporting those in crisis. We currently have around 70 volunteers who respond to scenes of sudden or unexpected death, violent crimes, sexual assaults, vehicle fatalities, and other traumatic events, providing emotional and practical support to family, friends and witnesses directly on-scene. TIP volunteers respond when requested by local police, fire, medical and hospital personnel. TIP volunteers respond anywhere in Clark County, NV, 24/7/365 and have a response time of 30 minutes or less. TIP of Southern Nevada, Inc. responded to 1,865 calls for service in 2023 and assisted over 7,000 citizens in crisis! TIP will hold 2 more training academies this year!

We currently have around 70 volunteers who respond to scenes of sudden or unexpected death, violent crimes, sexual assaults, vehicle fatalities, and other traumatic events, providing emotional and practical support to family, friends and witnesses directly on-scene to ease their immediate suffering. TIP volunteers respond anywhere in Clark County, NV, 365/24/7, when requested by local police, fire, medical, hospital personnel and other emergency response agencies. TIP have a response time of 30 minutes or less.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Driver's License Needed
  • Background Check
  • Must be at least 18
  • Orientation or Training
  • Volunteers fulfill three 12-hour shifts per month - 7a-7p or 7p-7a (based on volunteer's choice) and must attend the monthly continuing education meeting.
  • Must possess a reliable, working vehicle with insurance in volunteer's name - Must possess a valid driver's license, live in Clark County, and have a clean background. Looking for citizens full of compassion and ready to serve!
