AOK Mentoring & Tutoring is actively seeking volunteers! We are a 20-year old nonprofit organization that partners with Howard County Public Schools to provide volunteers to students who could use the support. AOK Volunteers serve as mentors and tutors for elementary school children and middle school youth in Howard County schools and in community programs.

Our mission is to contribute positive, ongoing support to Howard County students in order to enhance their academic, social, and emotional development.

Description

AOK Mentoring & Tutoring is a nonprofit and official partner of the Howard County Public Schools that recruits, screens, trains, and oversees volunteers who mentor and tutor students in many county elementary and middle schools. Students are identified by school liaisons as children who could benefit from one-on-one attention. The Volunteer Mentor-Tutor visits with the student weekly during the school day, throughout the school year.
