Part of the National Project Linus organization, we make blankets for children in distress. Our Volunteers range in age from 6-95 years of age. We welcome scout groups, church related organizations, schools, Sr citizen center, 4-H, quilting and Sewing guilds. etc. Students may use Project Linus as service Learning hours. In the 2nd 3 months of 2007, we've donated over 1800 blankets
Blankets can be sewn, knitted crocheted, or no-sew fleece. Blankets can be sewn, knitted crocheted, or no-sew fleece, but must be made of new materials and be able to be machine washed & dried. Also, they may not have any odors (of cigarette smoke, fabric softener) or have animal hair on them.

The Mission of Project Linus is to provide love, a sense of security, warmth and comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need, through the gifts of new, homemade, washable blankets and afghans, lovingly crafted by volunteer blanketeers.
Description
Carroll County is a chapter of the national Project Linus and is 100% non-profit, 100% volunteer. Our purpose being to provide a "handmade hug" in the way of a handmade security blanket for children in need in our county. These blankets are given to the children to keep.
