The Salvation Army Coon Rapids social services office provides donated clothes directly to families in need each day Monday- Friday. Volunteers help with sorting through donated items to see what is acceptable to give away as well as hang and organize items that are fit to be distributed to families in need.

Dates: Year-round, Monday- Friday
Times: 8:30 a.m. - Noon or 1-4 p.m.

Description

The Salvation Army offers social services and recreational programs with the goal of addressing specific physical, emotional, spiritual, and social needs of each family, individual, child/youth, or elderly person. Services provided include, but not limited to: emergency food shelves, school supply programs, rental/utility assistance, educational programs, outreach to the homeless, family and youth camping, community center programs, Christmas assistance programs, nursing home visitations, corrections programs, and disaster services.
