About The Theater Project

Location:

Box 101, Union, NJ 07083, US

Mission Statement

What we do We nurture rising artists with opportunities to showcase their work and get the next generation excited about theater through our youth program. We entice non-theater-goers to become interested in live performances by providing forums for conversation between the entertainers and the entertained, building a community with renewed interest in live theater. We keep theater alive by offering affordable programming that connects to contemporary issues and shines light on current concerns. Theater buildings may be closed but our minds are open: theater is a safe space to talk about difficult subjects and imagine new points of view.

Description

A small professional theater company that has successfully transferred virtually all of its programs to virtual platforms for the duration of lockdown: presentations of new plays, workshops and presentations for adults and youth, and theater that provides a springboard tor civil discussion of the issues of our times.
